  Wow! The food was just incredible. We were there in a party of 27 people. And it was just a wonderful night. With some incredible food. And the service was awesome as well.

  I hadn't seen a colleague for a couple of years and we decided to visit Prohibition Wine & Food for a long lunch. I must say the food was fantastic and the service was friendly. I was considering making it a regular.

  Prohibition is possibly the most pretentious place I have ever been. Also, what's with the name? Who name's a pub after a ban on alcohol? Maybe it was intended to indicate their criminal prices. Unless you're a pretentious prick I'd recommend you head over the road to Zous instead. Or further into town to Palace Hotel.

  Melbourne has an amazing restaurant scene and I have always had great experiences. Going out in Melbourne is like travelling the world. You get taken on culinary journeys experiencing different cultures.

  Right or wrong, miscommunication or not, we thought we communicated that we wanted to be drinking similar price wines at around $70. When we finally got the bill we were a little shocked to find out that for the two bottles of wine that we drank came total of $660. Not wanting to ruin a wonderful afternoon and seeing that discussions may be a little controversial,  through gritted teeth, I paid the bill with the hope to chat reasonably with the owner (Wayne) and/or Manager (Tara).
